I never thought there was a career in design, even though that is what I loved. I was so entrenched in studying Accounts that I never looked up to see what other careers there might be. However, with a stroke of luck, a friend of mine had changed career paths to become a designer & it worked out great for him.

But still I wasn’t that interested into studying design & taking the leap. Fast forward to my first workplace, where I had the privilege to have a great boss.

I never thought that I would want to do Accounts for 5 years, let alone 10. Once I mentioned this to my boss, he told me “why study for something which you don’t see yourself doing for the next 10 years.” That is all I needed. I went back to my desk & thought a lot about it. There and then, I changed career & fast forward 7 years – following a lot of studying & a diploma later on, here we are now.
