Hi! I’m Curt, a graphic designer by profession, and I’m pleased to meet you! Thank you for taking the time to check out our platform, Edits 101. I specialise in photo manipulation, 3D design, branding, and video editing, with over 7 years of experience. I’m currently based in sunny Malta.

How Long Have I Been in Graphic Design?

I’ve been working as a graphic designer for the past 7 years. During that time, I’ve had the opportunity to work with 3 amazing global brands. You can check out more of my work and experience on my LinkedIn profile.

What Got Me Into Design?

Interestingly, design wasn’t my initial career path. I was deeply focused on studying accounts and never thought there was a viable career in design, even though it was something I loved. A close friend of mine switched to design, and that planted the first seed of curiosity.

But the turning point came during my first job. I was fortunate to have a great boss who once said, “Why study for something you don’t see yourself doing for the next 10 years?” That’s all I needed to hear. I went back to my desk, thought about it, and made the decision to change careers. After lots of studying and earning my diploma, here I am, 7 years later, fully immersed in the world of design.

What Else Do I Do?

Outside of design, I’m quite athletic and passionate about sports. I enjoy playing football, and I used to compete in it. Additionally, I have a love for American football, basketball, and ice hockey.

Along with my colleague Steve, we launched Field Insider three years ago. It’s a platform where we share our insights and knowledge about sports.

Tminta Ltd

In 2020, I co-founded Tminta Ltd, a local marketplace in Malta for freelancers and self-employed individuals. As a graphic designer, I struggled to find commissioned work, and I knew other freelancers were facing the same challenge. That’s how the idea for Tminta came to life.
