How to Draw a Monster Truck | Fun Drawing

Today, we will dive into the world of big wheels. Yes, that’s true! Today, we’ll learn how to draw a monster truck. Before we start drawing, let us tell you some cool facts.

Do you know that the wheels of a monster truck can be as big as a normal car? A monster truck is as big as two big elephants. You must be wondering why they are so big. The answer is simple. A monster truck goes over big rocks easily and is used for adventurous rides. 

So get ready as we’re about to go on a ride.

How to Draw a monster truck 

Now is the time to go on a ride on a monster truck and explore nature. This guide aims to assist you in drawing by providing really effective steps. So buckle up and enjoy the process.

Step 1: Draw the baseline

The baseline supports the entire weight of the monster truck. We’ll draw a horizontal rectangle in the middle of the paper to draw the baseline. The corners of the rectangle must be curved. The curved corners reflect an artistic touch. 

Step 2: Draw the body

To draw the body, we’ll draw a rectangle on top of the baseline of the monster truck. This rectangle represents the body of the monster truck.

To add a bit of flair, gently curve the top left corner of the rectangle. The top right corner will be pointy. The body shouldn’t be longer than the baseline of the monster truck. If it gets longer, erase it and draw it again.

Step 3: Draw the cabin

The cabin is the uppermost portion of the monster truck. To draw the cabin, we need to draw a slanted rectangular structure. 

To begin with, we will draw a slanted line on top of the truck’s body near the left side. At the point where the slanted line ends, we will draw a straight horizontal line parallel to the truck’s body. We’re almost there.

Now, draw a vertical line that joins the horizontal line to the body of the truck. These three lines altogether make a closed structure. This closed structure is the cabin of the monster truck.

Draw similar lines inside this closed structure, as shown in the image. These lines provide more thickness and strength to the cabin. Our cabin is all set.

Step 4: Draw lights

Like other vehicles, a monster truck also has lights in the front and back.

We will draw a semicircle on the front side of the truck body to draw the front lights. The semicircle looks like a tennis ball that is cut in half.  

We will draw a small vertical rectangle for the backlights on the back of the truck’s body.

Step 5: Draw the back bar

The back bar is present behind the cabin of the truck. This back bar has space for the people to enjoy the scenes standing at the back of the truck. We will draw three rectangles to make the back bar.

We’ll begin by drawing a horizontal rectangle right behind the cabin of the truck. The length of this rectangle is greater than the cabin. The upper part of the rectangle must be rounded.

Starting from the base of the first rectangle, we’ll draw the second rectangle along the length of the truck’s body. 

To complete the back bar, we’ll make the last rectangle that is slanted, as shown in the image.

Step 6: Draw wheels 

The wheels of a monster truck are way bigger than a normal vehicle. No wonder it is named as a monster truck.

We have to draw the front and the back wheels. It is obvious that wheels are round, but how to make a round shape? 

We will mark a dot under the bottom left side of the baseline. This dot will be the center of the circle. From this dot, we will mark four more dots (top, bottom, right, and left) at the same distance from the center dot. Now, gently connect all four dots with each other by making smooth curves. Once we’re done with this, our circle will be ready. 

If this seems difficult, we can also use any round lid to serve this purpose. Inside this circle, we will draw another circle. This will be the front wheel of the truck.

We will repeat the same procedure for the back wheel. The back wheel is present on the bottom right side of the truck baseline.

Step 7: Draw the wheel connecter

A wheel connector is an important component of the truck that connects the wheels to the axle of the truck. 

To draw the wheel connector, we will draw a horizontal rectangle in the middle of the wheels that connects the wheels. Beneath this rectangle, we’ll add two more slanted lines crossing and overlapping each other. The shape of these lines is like an “X.” Our wheel connector is ready.

Step 8: The monster truck is ready
