Today, we will go on a recycling expedition while drawing a recycling truck and draw a recycling truck. You will also learn a few things about it.
A truck used to pick up recyclables from people’s houses. Materials will be collected by a recycling truck and delivered to a recycling facility. The MRF primarily concentrates on the following five categories: paper, steel, glass, aluminum, and plastic. Rotary screen separators can be used to separate paper and cardboard. Recycling just one glass bottle will result in energy savings sufficient to run a laptop for 30 minutes. Recycling just one plastic bottle can result in energy savings that are sufficient to run a lightbulb for at least three hours. A ski jacket can be filled with the insulating fiber produced by recycling five plastic bottles.

How To Draw a Recycling Truck
Now, we will start drawing our recycling truck. All you have to do is follow each step carefully. By doing that, you will have a perfect drawing in a few minutes.
Step1: Draw the wheels
A recycling truck is larger than other normal trucks. So, our recycling truck will have three wheels. Draw three circles on both sides of the paper to make the wheels. Note that two wheels will be drawn adjacent to each other, and the other wheel will be slightly larger than the other one. You can use a compass or a round object like a bottle cap to make circles like an expert.
You can draw circles freehand if you don’t have these supplies. Place a dot in the center where you want to make your wheel. Then, put four more dots around it (top, bottom, left, right). All these dots will be equidistant from our reference dot. Now, connect all four dots with curved lines. And there you have it, a perfect circle. For details, make a small concentric circle inside the main circle, as shown in the diagram.
Step 2: Draw the head
In our second step, we will draw the head of the truck where the driver sits. Draw a rectangle over the front wheel that is present on the right side of the paper. The rectangle will be drawn vertically over the front wheel. The base of the rectangle will be curved along the curvature of the wheel. Also, the right side of the rectangle will be a little bent to highlight the windshield of the truck.
Keep going! You are doing great.
Step 3: Draw the window
We will draw the window on the head of the truck. Draw a horizontal rectangle on the lower part of the truck’s head. Now, draw another rectangle over this horizontal rectangle. This rectangle will be larger than the previous one. Also, the right side of the rectangle will be drawn with a slanted line, as shown in the picture.
Step 4: Draw the back body
Now, we will draw the back body of the truck with the recycling container. This part varies according to the capacity of the recycling truck. To make the back body, we will draw a rectangle as a base and then make some modifications according to our requirements. This rectangle will lie horizontally over the rear wheels of the truck. Now, it’s time to make some changes. Make the top part of the rectangle bent downwards. Then, make a step on the left side of the rectangle that will act as an opening for the recycling material. Double-line the back body for details.
Step 5: Draw the down part of the body
In our fifth step, we will draw the down part of the body. This is a very simple step. All you will have to do is to draw two horizontal, narrow rectangles below the back body of the truck. The lower rectangle will be drawn over the rear wheels, and the second rectangle will be drawn over the first rectangle. The size of the rectangle will be smaller than the first one, as shown in the image. Now, erase the overlapping lines for neatness.
Step 6: Draw the lights
Our truck also needs lights that will illuminate its way during the night. Draw the lights on both sides, like the image, with two rectangles on the front and back. The rectangle on the front part of the car will be drawn vertically, and the rear part light will be drawn with a diagonal rectangle.
Step 7: Draw the recycle logo
This is the last step of our drawing. In this step, we will draw the recycle log. Draw a triangle on the back body to make the log a reference shape. Now, draw three arrows in a curved shape on the three edges of the triangle.
Step 8: Your recycling truck is ready
Excellent! Your illustration is finished. Praise yourself for creating a fantastic drawing. As the instructions state, we are extremely happy and optimistic that you produced an outstanding image. Making mistakes when drawing is possible, so check it again when you’re done. If it doesn’t look correct, go back and fix it. Then, use an outliner to improve the appearance.
Wait before storing your belongings. The true magic is just getting started. We’ll transform your drawing from a crude sketch into a beautiful painting.
Taking your recycling truck drawing to the next level
You need to develop your talents, attempt new things, and experiment with different styles if you want to get better at drawing. Enjoy the process of making art and expressing yourself through it. To make an image more distinctive, you may always add your ideas to it. Your improved willingness to produce more original work will also boost your mental clarity and self-assurance. The actions that follow entail giving our drawing color and background.
Get your creative stuff out and let your imagination run wild.
Adding background to your drawing
The composition of the drawing can be balanced with a well-designed background. It can serve as a point of reference for the spectator and foster harmony between the subject and its surroundings. Background information is essential to a good narrative. They can include further details about the story, including the day of the week, the time of year, or a specific location. It may enable the audience to receive a more thorough report. A complete and precise backdrop is necessary for realistic or representational art to convey the illusion of reality successfully. It aids in placing the subject in a plausible setting.
You can draw a road track if you want your truck to be moving or make a background look like a parking lot. You can also draw some bins on the side of the road.
Adding color to your drawing
Now is the time for you to express your creative side. Utilize your artistic talents to the fullest when coloring your drawing. Including color in your picture will make it more vibrant and alive. With color, the image seems full of life and exciting. We need to color it so it looks lively and new.
You should use any color you want for your truck. You can color it metallic colors as it is made of metal. You can use blue for the windows and light blue or any shade of blue for the sky. You can use green colors for the recycling truck. You can color the tires black and use grey color for shading. By merging and mixing, you can use different shades of colors to give an artistic effect to your drawing.
P.S. Bonus Tips
We’ve finished our drawing, and we hope you liked it as much as we did. There are no restrictions on one’s imagination, as was previously said. Any improvement can be made to the drawing. Although we provided a background and some colors, there is still more you can do.
You can make designs or patterns on the main body of the truck; you can also write recycling truck on the body. You can draw a sun in the sky. You make the plants present at the roadside. These are very few ideas, but as we know, we can do anything, so don’t limit yourself to ideas.
Our drawing is all ready now. It was a fun and easy process. We’re sure you followed each step without skipping and made a fantastic drawing. We made the wheels, head, back body, down part, lights, and the recycling logo.
The more you sketch, the better you’ll get, and the more ideas will come to you. Remember that sketching is a smart and creative approach to expressing yourself. Keeping them in mind will be quite beneficial in ensuring that the artwork is yours.
